Nepal - Island Peak
Venture Force Island Peak expedition will take you, en-route to the main event, through some of the most evocative locations in Nepal, steeped in Mountaineering history. The carefully designed itinerary includes an amazing flight into Lukhla’s precipitous airstrip where the trek begins. Our team will travel to Nepal’s largest monastery at Tengboche in addition to visiting the Himalayan delights of Namche Bazaar.
Finally, we arrive at Kalar Pattar/Everest Base Camp with the accompanying amazing views of Mt Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse, and thereafter pass what is arguably the world’s most beautiful peak, Ama Dablam! Our trek to Island Peak will leave us well prepared and acclimatised.
Island peak stands alone, surrounded by a mass of Himalayan monsters. It is a beautiful peak which offers an interesting glacial approach and testing steeper ice wall section to finish before the impressive summit.
The entire expedition will be supported by a team of Nepal’s famous Sherpas, providing excellent quality food with a good standard of accommodation throughout the trip.
The expedition is a spectacular visual and rich cultural experience combined with mountaineering which is achievable to those new to high altitude climbing. Obviously you will be accompanied by well qualified and experienced European leaders/guides.
Island Peak really is a great introductory 6000 metre peak. However, you will need to be physically strong, mentally determined and well acclimatised in order to succeed.
Our unique expedition management approach and acclimatisation plan will give you the best chance of summit success. Ideally you should have some experience of mountaineering or trekking at altitude before commencing this expedition.
