Morocco is a wondrous mix of many cultures and religions and one of our favourite destinations.
The team will arrive in Marrakesh mid-afternoon just in time to dip their toes into the culture that is unique to Morocco and is encapsulated in Marrakesh. Staying overnight in a mid-range hotel located centrally, and adjacent to the Djeema el Fna, (World Heritage site) the team will eat overlooking the scene and prepare for the forthcoming delights, meeting the in-country agent and trekking assistants. Thereafter the adventure begins!
We recommend that the team sample the fantastic trekking to be had amongst the Atlas Mountains either ascending Toubcal at 4167m (North Africa’s highest peak), or passing through the mountains via one of the exceptionally beautiful passes. All our treks are fully supported by guides, local guides, cooks and muleteers designed to make your trek as hard or as easy as yout team wish.
Secondly, we recommend a camel trek into the beautiful and majestic sand dunes of the Sahara. We offer an assortment of destinations including Merzouga and Zagora on fully supported camel treks, camping overnight in traditional Bedouin tents, on our own, under the huge starlit skies. Try it-you'll love it.
Lastly, our recommendation is that you either travel back to Marrakesh, stopping briefly in Ouazazate (Site of the many film sets), or further to the sublime colonial fishing port of Essouria. Essouria's walled town contains a bustling community of tradesman, artists, cafes and restaurants, flanked at either end by huge white sand beaches. This is the ideal location in which to relax before your return flights.
