Something about the country

Immerse yourself in the true India.  From the hustle and bustle of busy downtown Delhi to the quiet serenity of the inspiring Himalaya, from the adrenalin pumping rapids of the mighty Ganges finally to the romantic mystique of the beautiful Taj Mahal it is our priority to dip your toes in this wondrous country.

India is the world’s seventh largest country and home to a huge diversity not just in terms of culture and religion but, also landscape and terrain.  Bordering with Afghanistan, Butan, Bangledesh, China, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Nepal and Pakistan, its terrain varies immensely from the Himalaya to desert and plains, from tropical greenery to the sacred Ganges.

Climate
India largest weather influence is the yearly monsoon, which can, at its best breathe life into the dusty countryside and at its worst cut off communities for weeks at a time.  Our visit coincides with the end of the monsoon season enabling us to catch the region at its very best. Temperatures in September and October can be in the high 20’s but during the evenings and mornings the temperature can be substantially lower.  Due to some heavy downpours it is essential that clients have suitable mountain clothing and equipment for the prevailing conditions.
